Keeping Open Opportunities Up-to-Date

Updating Opportunity Details

To quickly view or update details of an open opportunity:

  • Single-click the opportunity in the pipeline to open the side panel.
  • Click on editable fields like value, dates, or probability to update them instantly.
  • Click the pencil icon in the header to edit additional fields or reveal hidden ones.

To open the opportunity in full-page view:

  • Double-click the opportunity.
  • Click Edit to modify fields as needed.

Using the Pricing Table

The Pricing Table in the Info tab of the opportunity window helps you manage the list of products and pricing details included in a deal. It allows you to:

  • Calculate the total value of the opportunity.
  • Apply and test different discounting methods.
  • Explore pricing scenarios with your customer.

Once finalized, the pricing table can also be used to generate a sales quote (see the help article on Creating Quotes for more info).

How to Edit the Pricing Table

  1. Click on an opportunity in the pipeline to open the side window.
  2. Click the Pricing Table link to open the popup editor.

Add Products:

  • Click into the highlighted product field.
  • Type the product name or click the search icon.
  • Select an existing product from the dropdown, or choose New Product to create a new entry.

Modify Line Items:

  • Change product details such as description, unit price, and tax rate.
  • Add more items using the Add Line link.
  • Group items with a heading using Add Title.
  • Remove items by clicking the red delete icon on the left of the line.
  • Reorder items by dragging them from the dotted line on it left-side.

Apply Discounts and Currency Settings:

  • Use the discount column to apply per-item discounts (as a fixed value or percentage).
  • Apply a discount to the entire table using the field at the bottom.
  • Switch currencies using the currency converter.
  • Reset all item prices to the latest from the product list using the update prices button.

When you’re done, click Apply to save your pricing table.

Adding Linked Records

Each opportunity can be connected to related records such as:

  • Notes (e.g., customer interactions, call summaries)
  • Quotes
  • Activities like follow-ups or other tasks

These can be accessed through the tabs at the top of the opportunity window. Use the buttons on each tab to create new records linked to the opportunity.

Moving an Opportunity To A Different Stage

You can drag and drop opportunities to update their stage in the sales pipeline:

  1. Go to the Sales Pipeline view.
  2. Click and hold the opportunity you want to move.
  3. Drag it to the desired stage column.
  4. Release the mouse to drop it into the new stage.

This helps reflect the current progress of your deals and keeps your pipeline accurate and organized.

Putting an Opportunity On Hold

By default, open opportunities are considered active, meaning you’re actively pursuing them. However, there may be times when you want to pause your efforts temporarily—such as when a customer is unable to move forward due to a short-term issue, but you expect to resume later.

In such cases, you can change the opportunity’s status to Open – On Hold. These opportunities remain in your pipeline but are clearly marked with a colored tag to indicate their on-hold status.

Conclusion

Maintaining up-to-date opportunities is key to a healthy sales pipeline. Use TeamGram CRM’s intuitive tools like the Pricing Table, stage drag-and-drop, and linked records to streamline updates and keep your team aligned on deal progress.
